The U.S. Supreme Court has issued a 6–3 decision holding that theInternational Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) does not authorize thePresident to impose the tariffs at issue in the case.

The ruling spansapproximately 170 pages, and further analysis is ongoing to assess the fullscope and implications of the decision.
