Typhoon Champi brought heavy rain and high winds to northern Luzon inthe Philippines this week, and Taiwan largely shut down on Friday, October 23,cancelling more than 600 flights. The weakening storm is forecast to movetoward Okinawa and southern Japan, with rain reaching southern South KoreaOctober 25–26. Delays in the delivery of mail and parcels are expected inaffected areas.
