September 18, 2026
Beginning November 1, 2026, new EU customs requirements will affect B2C parcels shipped to the region, including expanded product data requirements and a new customs-related fee.

Starting November 1, 2026, the European Union (EU) is changing how parcels destined for EU consumers are cleared, and it affects every shipment destined for the EU.
Additional product information required
1. Merchant PID required. This is your own SKU or listing ID for each product (the identifier you assign, not your manufacturer).
2. Non-standard manufacturer PID required. This is your supplier's own part number for the item (assigned by the manufacturer/producer/supplier, not a public industry code). If a product genuinely has no such number, the manufacturer is expected to create one.
3. Standard manufacturer PID, required when one exists. This is the industry-standard barcode for the product (a GTIN, UPC, EAN, or ISBN). If your catalog already has these, include them; if you do not have this information, an exemption code will need to be provided.
Additional Fee
• An additional fee of €2 per item will be implemented by the EU on all parcels destined for the region starting on November 1.
