US and China Extend Tariff Deadline

US President Trump extended the truce with China by 90 days.

US President Trump extended the truce with China just before the Tuesday midnight deadline, citing Beijing's "significant steps" toward addressing US economic national security concerns.

Without the extension, tariff rates would have sharply increased, but they will remain at 30% for US tariffs on Chinese goods, and 10% for China's tariff on American goods.
