Hurricane Simon is forecast to strengthen into a major hurricane and approach Mexico’s southwestern coast this weekend. A Hurricane Watch covers the coast from Manzanillo, Colima to Punta San Telmo, Michoacán, and heavy rain is expected in Guerrero, Oaxaca and Chiapas.

Earlier this week, Hurricane Isaias brought heavy rain to Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche and Yucatán. This follows Hurricanes Polo and Rachel in late September. Delays in the delivery of mail and parcels are expected in affected areas.
