Canada Post issues final offer as CUPW overtime ban continues

Amid ongoing contract talks, Canada Post has presented its final offers to CUPW in an effort to end the national overtime ban and avoid a full strike.

Overtime Ban:

CUPW members are refusing to work beyond scheduled hours. Letter carriers must return to depots even if routes aren't complete. RSMCs follow the same. Part-time/temps capped at 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.

But CUPW says key issues like weekend delivery, flex staffing, and dynamic routing remain unresolved and “non-negotiable.”
